Mammootty had always been lucky enough to find his films doing well at Kollywood. As the actor has increased his fan base with the appearance in a number of Tamil super hits, his hit films from Malayalam often dubbed into Tamil, with Tamil names always recieved reasonable victories.

And the new film that will appear in the title ‘Maattukaran Velan' will be the dubbed version of his biggest hit in Malayalam 'Rajamanikyam'.

Mammootty will speak in a peculiar and humorous Tamil accent in this film which is having the same title of an old M G R movie.

In this film, Mammotty plays the role of Bellary Raja who wears sunglasses all the time, and is based in Bellary where he deals with wholesale selling of buffaloes.

The Thiruvananthapuram Malayalam slang that the star used in the original film was one of its much talked about reasons for success.
